Aurora activity weekend

If you are visiting Kiruna for a couple of days...

The right choice if you want to escape daily routine for just one weekend... Our three day aurora activity tour with husky sledding and snowmobile is the tour for you. Get a glimpse of what Lapland has to offer. Enjoy two days with genuine nordic activities and spend the nights in remote wilderness cabins, with candle light, wood heated sauna, clean water from the creek and the magnificient aurora borealis during the clear nights ...

Day 1 - Friday (Tuesday)

Arrival to Kiruna airport or train-station at noon or late afternoon. Pick-up from the airport and issue of winter-clothes (overall, boots, cap, mittens, face-mask). Introduction "how to drive a snowmobile" and take off for snowmobile tour towards one of our wilderness camps. Two participants share one machine, if you would prefer to drive our own snowmobil it is available against an additional charge. Sauna, dinner and overnight in the camp.

Day 2 - Saturday (Wednesday)

After breakfast we pack our stuff and hit the trail again by snowmobile towards our homebase. After lunch you get an introduction into driving a dogsled and "mush" own teams out to the wilderness again. Each participant drives an own team with 3-5 Alaskan Huskies. Dinner, Sauna and overnight in another wilderness camp.

Day 3 - Sunday (Thursday)

After breakfast we drive our husky teams back to the homebase for lunch. If your time schedule allows you, it is possible to visit the famous Icehotel or a sami museum in Jukkasjärvi , a village just 6 km away from our homebase (entrence fees are not included). Transfer back to airport and departure.

Included: Warm clothes, activity -equipment and fullboard. Experienced guide, all transfers, group accomodation.

Ecxess fee for snowmobiling is 6000,-SEK, in case you damage the snowmobile
